As part of celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, people with the name Elizabeth can enjoy a free coffee and cake at bistros at Belong villages in June.

This follows the bistros starting to reopen to external visitors earlier this month after remaining closed since the outset of the coronavirus pandemic. Located at the heart of the village’s central hub and open to the public, as well as friends and relatives of residents, the family-friendly cafés are focal points for local communities and serve a wide range of freshly prepared food and snacks throughout the day in a relaxed and informal setting.
The offer will be available at bistros at Belong villages in Atherton, Macclesfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Warrington.
Belong CEO Martin Rix said: “We wanted to do something to mark the occasion, and we thought that it would be a great idea to tie it into celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, so anyone whose name is Elizabeth can enjoy a free coffee and cake in the village bistros that have reopened in the month of the Platinum Jubilee festivities.”
The offer coincides with Belong being chosen to feature in the official publication of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations alongside other organisations selected for their exceptional contributions to UK society and culture in the past 70 years.
Her Majesty The Queen: The Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album charts the monarch’s 70-year reign through over 250 photographs of the Queen throughout her life, as well as developments in the UK and around the world over the past seven decades. The book also profiles a select number of outstanding individuals and organisations from across the country and the Commonwealth that have had an impact on life in the UK.
The book will be officially launched on 5 June 2022 on The Mall in central London as part of the four-day bank holiday weekend of jubilee celebrations. It is now available to purchase in shops and online at www.stjamess.org/shop.
