Belong is a charitable organisation and an innovator of care services for older people. Its village model relies on attracting members of the local community into the village to ensure it is a real hub of local life, with opportunities for varied and intergenerational activities.
It is a leader in dementia care and its model is underpinned by values of giving people a sense of belonging, creating vibrant communities and nurturing positive relationships and outcomes for people’s wellbeing.
Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme provides:
- 24 hour support, including nursing and dementia care for up to 72 older people; this is based in small household settings for up to 12 people, each of whom has their own private en-suite space, and access to a central open-plan hub with living, dining and kitchen areas shared between the 12 residents
- Apartments for independent living: 28 one or two bedroom apartments are available for sale, rent or shared ownership. There is a 24-hour emergency response service and residents enjoy easy access to vibrant village centre facilities. Home care packages are also available
- Village centre amenities including bistro, gym, village hall and Belong Heritage Gallery facilities
- High quality day care and home care services under Experience Days and Belong at Home brands
